My dog has followed up with the team here at CHV since we moved in July. She has a history of aggressive mast cell and the team has done a great job monitoring her with abdominal US and check ups. The prices here are very reasonable and the staff are considerate of your circumstances. I'm surgical resident at MUSC so my hours make it tough and my income is low, they worked with me even seeing me on the Dr's lunch break to care for Olive after she had an episode of anaphylactic shock. I was unable to afford a liver protectant medication after a $4000 ICU bill (not at CHV, due to her anaphylactic shock) so they gave us a donated package of the liver protectant medication to ensure Olive was covered. They are very skilled, considerate, and knowledgeable vets. They even allowed me to watch Olive receive her abdominal ultrasound and the radiologist talked me through what she saw. I cannot recommend them enough, Olive loves them and I'm beyond grateful for their kindness and care for her.

Amazing vet! Could not recommend more. I've been seeing Dr Coco for a few years now for my cats, and she is excellent--really cares, wants to get to the bottom of what's going on, listens to your thoughts and concerns and answers all your questions. I've had some cats with some pretty tricky medical issues. When there's different options for treatment, we talk about the pros and cons of each, though I often ultimately decide by asking "what would you do if it were your cat?", to which she gives her honest opinion, and I've never regretted taking that route. All the techs are great too--very gentle and patient and friendly. I always feel very welcome here. The exam rooms are comfortable, clean but not "sterile" feeling--they each have a couch upholstered with some kind of water/stain resistant material, and in most, the exam table folds down from the wall, disguised as a door. There's one "cat room" that has a cat tower in it, that my cats love to go hide in, though we're more often in a different room just due to availability. There's a little fridge stocked with sparkling waters in the waiting area, and a keurig. Whenever the cats need labs done, the results are always communicated in a very timely manner (I had an issue with this at my previous vet, All Creatures--I always eventually had to contact them to ask!) The office also always texts the next day to check in how your pet is doing, which I appreciate.

Dr. Randinelli and Savannah are an amazing team. Always calm, patient and caring with my kitties and bringing the good vibes with laughs and jokes. They make sure my kitties feel safe and loved on in their visits. I feel so much peace of mind working with them on any health issues that arise because they are so detail-oriented, attentive, and knowledgeable. So grateful for them and the whole staff!

So happy with my decision to come here. My dog has food and environmental allergies. Dr. Coco has done a top tier job finding solutions to make her feel better. She takes the time to explain everything to me as well as give me options to figure out what's the best option as well as affordable. The office setting is very comforting. My dog was always anxious at her last vet, now that we come to CHV she thinks she's the most popular patient and wants to say hi to everyone. Thanks to the vet techs as well that's mostly true! The whole staff is very caring and patient. They take the time to gain trust with your pet and wait until they are comfortable to give treatment. I recommend this practice to everyone who asks me, or anyone with a pet!

Both my stray cat and I had our first ever (fantastic) veterinarian appointment at CHS Harbor yesterday. My partner and I are both students, so cost and transparency was certainly important to us in choosing a vet. However, I was also looking for a empathetic stress free environment for both my stray cat and myself, as I had never owned a cat before. From the initial form, allowing me to outline our story in advance, our appointment felt so individualized. Sarah R. , our fantastic Vet Tech, had read our case and was called in specially to see Princess because of her experience with strays. She was calm and effective, and I was shocked to see her petting Princess less than 30 seconds after opening her carrier (I had not yet attempted this). She was personable, telling us about her own fur babies, but I also felt she was very thorough in collecting history and let me ask lots of questions. In addition to Sarah's excellence, Dr. Morgan Mcpheeter was calm, efficient, and knowledgeable. I am not a "review" person but for the person out there wondering if they should invest in a Vet Relationship instead of a neuter/spay service, I think Charleston Harbor is everything they've advertised and more (rare in Chs).

This vet clinic is the best. Dr. Coco and the staff are wonderful. The are reasonable in testing and pricing. You never feel pressured into doing excessive or invasive procedures. You can tell they care about pets and their owners above all else. Unlike other clinic I have been, which have strict rules and feel very unwelcoming. For example, this office actually allows you to be a part of your pet's care and hold them when they are getting shots, etcs.

I had a really positive experience with Dr. Coco and her team. They were very attentive, professional, and took the time to thoroughly check my cat without making us feel rushed. I appreciated how they explained the treatment plan in a way that was easy to understand. You can tell they truly care about the animals they see. Thank you for taking such good care of my furbaby, Cosmo!

Here’s a polished version that keeps your warmth and adds a little flow: We can’t thank the team enough for the incredible care they gave our sweet Biscuit. After getting into a cat fight (in which he apparently decided surrender was the better option!), he came home covered in bites and scratches. We didn’t realize he’d been in a fight at first—we just knew he wasn’t acting like himself and brought him in right away. Dr. April McCaskill and our veterinary technician were so gentle, compassionate, and thorough. When Biscuit’s temperature came back at 105.8°F, they immediately recognized he likely had a serious infection and carefully searched until they found multiple puncture wounds hidden beneath his fur. Their skill and attention to detail made all the difference. What impressed us just as much was what happened after we left. The office followed up not once, but twice, to check on Biscuit. Having a veterinary team that genuinely cares and continues to support you after the appointment is incredibly reassuring when your fur baby is sick. As an ER nurse, I know how much follow-up and compassionate communication matter, and this team exemplified both. We are so grateful for the care they provided, and we are clients for life. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our sweet baby, Biscuit. ❤️🐾

I recently brought in a stray dog that was found in our hospital parking lot, and my experience with Charleston Harbor Veterinary was nothing short of outstanding. From my very first phone call, there was an immediate personal connection—some of the staff even knew the nurses who found the dog, which made the entire experience feel compassionate and community‑minded. They made time right away to help. They scanned her for a microchip (she didn’t have one), performed a thorough exam, completed lab work, treated her for fleas on the spot, and even gave her a bath. They also made sure she was safe to bring home around other pets by checking for anything contagious and walking me through everything she needed. On top of that, they set her up with Heartgard and NexGard so she would be protected moving forward—something that gave me such peace of mind as we figured out her next steps. Every person I encountered—the DVM, the front desk team, and every staff member—was friendly, efficient, caring, and incredibly accommodating. They helped me build a clear plan to make sure this sweet stray could transition safely into a loving home. And she has! She is now thriving, loved, and enjoying her new lease on life, all thanks to the exceptional care at Charleston Harbor Veterinary. I’ve told everyone I know about this experience, and I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone looking for a veterinary practice to go here. They truly go above and beyond.
